        Dean's philosophies of LIFE

"If  you fail to plan - you plan to fail." -  Benjamin Franklin said it in 1790.

"You can't score a goal if you dont shoot the puck." - Dean

"Sometimes you just gotta say `what the fuck, make your move`." - Tom Cruise in <Risky Business>

"The more you work today, the more you get to play tomorrow." - Wayne Gretzky

"Don’t fuck with destiny." - Dean learned during Woodstock en Beauce 2012.

"Don't bring food to a buffet."- Dean

"Don't analyse someone on how well they treat their friends.  Look at how they treat people in general.   Anyone can be nice to their friends.   If they are nice to everyone thats a better test of the quality of someone's character.  If someone treats anyone not nicely then one day you might be treated like that by them too." - Dean

I’m sick of repeating this so I’m putting it here.   Each time someone says in a Facebook message that someone else is lucky when they do something that is easy to plan (like going to a concert or festival), the reality is that each of us chooses our own lives & when we want to do something we plan it well & if the circomstances in life for someone doesn’t let them be able to do something easy to do if its planned well its because you didn’t plan to go & if you are unlucky enough to be in a situation where you work because you didn’t plan well enough to take a day of vacation or you don’t have the right to take vacation or you chose to have kids so you can’t leave them, its you that chose your life  so MAYBE you could say you are UNLUCKY (although you chose) not to go but in Quebec we are free to do what we want & plan well to do it.That’s why I said that Julien & Lory aren’t lucky that they are at the Rockfest.   They planned well & they are going to have a great weekend because of it  Analyse how you want but that’s my analysis.    If they won the lottery I’d be in agreement that they are lucky.   But there are also tens of thousands of other well planned people at the Rockfest. :) Voilà.

How to make a difficult decision -
I find the most efficient method of making the right decision is a full analysis.  Write down the pluses and minuses of each of the alternatives.  Looking at it on paper also helps take some of the stress away and sometimes it makes the best decision more obvious instead of letting the heart or pressure from others go against what makes more sense.  Also look at what the best case and worst case scenario are for each possibility.   Ask people what they think as well.  Sometimes they have ideas that you didn't consider which favour one alternative over the other.
Also in speaking to them about the situation and the possibilities and reasoning it can become more clear in your head what makes more sense.  Just talking to people you convince yourself of  what you want to do.  If all else fails to resolve the dilemma when in doubt I say "what the fuck" and do what seems the most fun.  - Dean

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.

You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You'll fight with your best friend.   You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.   You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures,  laugh too much,  and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end,  be afraid that it will never begin.

-   This came from an email (probably passed from person to person) & it’s a philosophy I like.

The way I help the homeless people & you can too.
